👀Can you spot what’s wrong, wrong, wrong here?🥵Another tragedy, another fatality...Read the report: patch.com/new-jersey/longbranch/tinton-falls-teen-hits-bicyclist-remains-scene-no-charges-filed🥵The “teen” is not held responsible because he “stayed at the scene”, and “It appears to be an accident”.🥵Crash reporting almost always absolves the driver. And never mentions the conditions of the crash, which are truly to blame. #crashnotaccident This, and almost every other CRASH is preventable. 🥵The driver cannot always be to blame. Our city leaders allow dangerous road design that prioritizes drivers over all other road users. 🥵Cities don’t address lack of adequate street lighting, and insufficient bicycling and walking infrastructure. 🥵Traffic engineers and city leaders ignore the needs of the % of people in every community who do not or cannot drive.🙌It doesn’t have to be this way.
