Asbury Park is developing a traffic safety action plan to improve roadway safety for everyone. The effort aims to reduce and eliminate roadway fatalities and serious injuries by 2040, in line with the City’s Vision Zero goal. The plan contains data-driven analysis and relies on input from residents of the City. The plan will use crash and traffic data to identify high-risk areas, inform and engage the community, and develop policy recommendations and design solutions to address safety concerns. The Asbury Park Traffic Safety Action Plan is federally funded through United States Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Safe Streets for All program.
