A little 🎄🎁🕎 holiday present to walking friends, whoever you are in @cityofasburyparknj NJ LAW STOP FOR PEDESTRIAN #bollards We’re replacing them wherever we see them removed. #tacticalurbanism ❄️And we’re loving when the city misses one and it becomes a mini traffic calming measure! (Top right photo). Bollards are routinely run over by drivers, tossed to the side of the road by residents, or removed entirely “for the winter to protect the plows” in case it might snow,. Honestly they do help a little to protect walkers from being killed by drivers … and they’re WAY better than nothing. So please NJ municipalities, keep the bollards in place. Or put them back immediately after a snowfall. Protecting people is more important than protecting plows. #stopforpedestrians #njlaw #asburyparkcompletestreetscoalition ... See MoreSee Less

Please help save low-speed e-bikes! Take action: actionnetwork.org/letters/save-low-speed-e-bikes-stop-s4834-a6235/?fbclid=IwY2xjawOqoTFleHRuA2Flb...🔗in bio to submit a quick form. Asbury Park Complete Streets Coalition strongly opposes e-bike bills S4384 and A6235. The current proposed statewide bill eliminates the current definitions that distinguish between low speed e-bikes and high speed e-motos and combines them into a single category that designates them all as “motorized bicycles” and requires licensing, insurance and registration for all types. This approach limits critical transportation options for e-bike users creating unnecessary barriers for seniors, people with disabilities, our immigrant communities, and many who do not have access to other modes of transportation. This bill creates many unintentional obstacles while it does not resolve the real safety concerns with high speed and illegal out of class motorized bicycles.#asburyparkcompletestreetscoalition @njbikewalk @cityofasburyparknj @wheresdougtoday @secondlifebikes @asburyparkcyclery @briellecyclery @joewalsh456 @giuseppemgrillo ...
